I am sorry that this has happened to Tumelo Mboweni, but that it has happened to the son of a well-known person, Tito Mboweni, may help highlight what is daily experience of very many people. It also indicates prejudices, within SA against darker skinned people from the Limpopo province, which needs to come under the spotlight. The arrogance of the police, as reported, seems part of a wider problem of ‘anything goes’.
